Built in about 1690, the Full Moon was a coaching inn on a crossroads leading to Salisbury Plain and the important wool centre in Beckington. Directions

Take the A36 from Bath for about 12 miles. At Standerwick village turn left immediately after the Bell pub. The road is signposted to Rudge and we are about a mile from the A36. Note: don't take the sign marked Rudge from the Beckington roundabout as this is a less direct route.From SalisburyWarminster take A36 north to Bath for about 4 miles. After the railway bridge at Standerwick, take the signposted right hand turn to Rudge, immediately before the Bell pub.
